Kathy and Dave have a friend who is a professional photographer. He wanted to add some new bike pics to his portfolio so naturally Dave and I volunteered our bikes to be the models.

We picked a perfect day weather wise to take some pictures, so we met up with Steve and checked out a few locations that he wanted to shoot.
Steve was gracious enough to let me bring my camera along to document the day and to get a couple of shots of my own. I was careful not to encroach on his turf or steal any of his “visions”…which I admit, was more difficult than I had anticipated. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a camera with me 99% of the time. NOT taking a picture is something I have never contemplated before!
Steve took us to one of his usual spots. WICKED architecture in this building. Made for a great backdrop.
Photographers must just hate it when hacks like me keep getting in the way of their carefully composed shots.
One of the sexy models…
Apparently the model sucked, so he was put to better use holding the reflector.
I got bored with the reflector so I grabbed my camera and wandered around. Dave suggested that I try this shot. Nice suggestion buddy!
The intense sunlight was a pain to deal with so we decided to pack up and head to another spot where we might find some shade.
Steve snapping off a few at the harbour.
Dave finally had his turn holding the reflector. He’s so easily amused by shiny things.
I managed to get a few decent shots of the 675 while Dave was distracted with the shiny reflector.
Dave snapped this one of his Daytona. Not too shabby for a rookie!
Ya ya..you’re cool Dave. Blah Blah Blah.
The sun was starting to get lower so we ventured off to another spot to see if we could get some sunset pics. Steve lead us through the streets of Gatineau and we wound up at a park that looks out towards Parliament Hill.
This was my last shot of an awesome day. Big thanks to Steve for taking us out!
These are a couple of Steve’s finished shots that he has allowed me to post.
If you want to check out more of his pics, check out his Flickr site. He’s got some awesome stuff.
